The film audience has always loved a rogue who acts tough but is a softie at heart. Bollywood has now rediscovered the phenomenon and the result is a number of Robin Hood type heroes gracing the silver screen. Dabangg of Salman Khan definitely got the popular approval and even Akshaye Kumar has donned such a persona in his recent release, Boss. The tradition is now being followed in the new thriller Bullett Raja. The trailer of the film has now been launched and Saif Ali Khan is seen to portray a baddie whom you cannot help but love.
The film is directed by Timangshu Dhulia. The director won popular acclaim with his action packed movie, Saheb, biwi aur gangster and his last venture was Paan Singh Tomar which emphasized on his flair for action. So, great things are being expected of him in this film. The first look reveals that there will be npo lacking in action in the film.
The story of Bullett Raja revolves round Saif Ali Khan who plays the quintessential Gunda and the actor makes a stunning impression as he bursts on to the screen with guns blazing and crisp dialogues. The perfect backdrop to his personality is played by Jimmy Shergill who portrays his best friend. Shergill has now become a regular in Dhuliya’s films.
Saif is romancing the doe eyed Sonakshi Sinha in the film. In her previous films, she has played the role of a simple but sharp tongued village girl with flair. The character remains simple at heart, but Dhuliya gets action out of his female leads too. So, Sonakshi may surprise her audience yet.
Commando star Vidyut Jamwal appears as a tough cop in the film. Gulshan Grover is also playing an important role. Ravi Kishen will be seen in the film. After a long time, Chunkey Pandey is appearing again on silver screen with this film. The film has been given an authentic flavor by incorporating things like the Howrah Bridge and Sonakshi practicing for the puja. It is very apparent that the film is set in West Bengal.
Sajid Wajid teams up for the first time with Dhuliya. The film is expected to deliver fast music, item girls and lots of action, interspersed with typical Dhuliya type comedy. One such scene where Saif and Jimmy shoots a minister already shows the great promise held out by the film.
Bullet Raja is scheduled to be released on 29th November, 2013.

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan will be seen in a raw and rustic avatar in the forthcoming film "Bullett Raja", and he admits he had to work towards being fitter for the role.

One hears that the film's script is very demanding in terms of action and all the sequences are done by Saif himself.

Saif said, "I wasn't fit when I did the 'Race 2' run. I was okay but I am way fitter now and it looks different."

"If you are fit, your body language changes. You are more agile and the kind of action you do, particularly like in 'Bullett Raja', it's incredibly physically demanding. It's a great feeling when you are fit and you are looking good when they (filmmakers) shoot you," he added.

The actor is following a customised workout regime.

"Bullett Raja" is set against a mafia based in Uttar Pradesh, and it is expected to be high on action.

Co-produced by Select Media and BrandSmith Motion Pictures, the film, directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, also stars Jimmy Shergill, Vidyut Jammwal, Gulshan Grover, Raj Babbar and Chunky Pandey.
