Shahid Kapoor throws down the gauntlet at the makers of Tigmanshu Dhulia's upcoming film

His last film has not worked wonders at the box office and looks like with his next, Shahid Kapoor is willing to take no chances. Sources say the actor's agency has asked the makers of Milan Talkies to cast an A-list actress opposite him. Sasha through the agency has apparently also made it clear that until a heroine of his choice is roped in, he might not be keen on doing the film.

Tigmanshu Dhulia's Milan Talkies has had a series of ups and downs. After Imran Khan bowed out of the project citing date issues, Priyanka Chopra too walked out soon after. When Shahid was finally roped in, the makers declared that he had apparently been their first choice.

An insider from the project says, `Shraddha Kapoor was in the race to bag the top spot. However after her name dropped out, rumours are that Shahid's representatives have now told the makers that without an A-list actress on board, the actor won't do the film.` Producer Ekta and Shahid Kapoor remained unavailable.

Things are changing for the hence, neglected, Shraddha Kapoor after her role in Aashiqui-2, the blockbuster garnered Shraddha much praise.

She says, `Things have changed a lot. I have seen people's attitude change overnight, right in front of my eyes.`

Shraddha gave so many auditions before Ashiqui-2 but was rejected. She was cast in a movie but was later replaced. But there is no dearth of offers for her now and she is happy with the success.

The actress had a dream to work with Amitabh Bachchan but her first movie Teen Patti flopped. In the following year she signed three-movie-deal with Yash Raj Films but the deal was discontinued. Her Luv Ka also flopped.

Shraddha quotes her father who always said that don't let the success go to your head and failure to your heart.

Shraddha belongs to a family of artists. Her father Shakti Kapoor is a veteran actor, aunt Padmini Kohlapuri has ruled the celluloid in her times and Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle are her distant aunts.

Her brother acted in Shootout at Wadala. And, she thinks that her brother has an advantage over her as he is a male. Smilingly, she says that he gets ready in a jiffy while she takes a lot of time getting ready.

Taking about the looks Shraddha says that she likes experimenting. Once as a teenager she had coloured her hair red and the family was shocked. But when they realized that it made me happy they reconciled.

Shraddha Kapoor had to wait for six long months before she could meet Aamir Khan

With her last film Aashiqui, Shraddha Kapoor finally managed to create her own space in Bollywood. However despite her newfound fame, her screen idol Aamir Khan apparently didn't have the time of day for the actress for more than six months.

After aggressively chasing Aamir for half a year, Shraddha finally received a call from the star's manager to meet him for a quick meet and greet session.

A friend of the actress says, `Shraddha is a big fan of Aamir and was looking forward to have a chit-chat with him. If not during a proper meet, she was ready to even talk to him inside an elevator. Aamir's manager assured her the star would meet her soon.`

Finally while Aamir was shooting for Dhoom 3 at a suburban studio, his manager summoned Shraddha.

Not only did Aamir apparently invite her to join him for lunch, they also chatted about the actress' hobby of travelling.

Shraddha says, `I really look up to Aamir sir and it was an enriching experience to meet him.`

Finally Shraddha met her dream man?
