Actor Imran Khan, who will be seen opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan in 'Gori Tere Pyaar Mein', feels that his co-star has done full justice to a riveting dance number 'Tooh' in their upcoming film.

Praising her dancing skills in the song which is going to be out today, Imran said, "I had heard the scratch version way before we actually shot it. Even then, it sounded fun and just the kind of cheeky and naughty thing. It is more a girl's song and they (women) are going to love it." "Her moves are deadly.

She is sexy and yet graceful. She has struck the perfect balance in this song," he added.

This is for the second time that the actor duo are playing an onscreen couple, after their first successful attempt with 'Ek Main Aur Ek Tu'. The film directed by Punit Malhotra and produced by Karan Johar is schedule to release on November 22.

Kareena Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan starrer is apparently pegged at a whopping Rs 150 crore

While Bollywood remains to have a good mix of big-moolah films and those made on a shoestring budget, Kareena Kapoor's next film with Hrithik Roshan could break the record. Insiders say Karan Malhotra's film will have a whopping budget of Rs 150 crore and the director has chosen Bhopal as one of the settings for the film.

Till date, Blue, the underwater thriller director by Anthony D'Souza and Shah Rukh Khan's RA.One were the costliest Bollywood films ever at R100 crore each. After two of his previous visits to Bhopal didn't work out, Malhotra finally managed to make a trip to the City of Lakes.

Sources say the director did a recce of Old Bhopal and some other crowded places in the newer parts of the city, including Sadar Manzil and New Market. Currently, Malhotra is in Hyderabad to explore possibilities of shooting there.

Says a source, `Karan has finalised some locations in Bhopal. The buzz is that they will start shooting in Bhopal in December as they will not get the required permissions to shoot before the elections. The schedule will last for 20 to 25 days.` Says the director, `We are trying to make a nice dramatic film but yes for sure it will be big. The costs and budgets depends upon the production house. From size zero to six packs abs, woh! What a revolution. Yes, you heard it right, Kareena Kapoor Khan will build up six packs abs for Karan Malhotra’s ‘Shuddhi’ starring Hrithik Roshan as male lead.
In ‘Tashan’ audience got to see a totally new avatar of Kareena who shed out ample flab to get into size zero. Her effort in ‘Tashan’ was appreciated and now the Begum will go extreme point to develop six packs abs.
Usually, six packs abs is a term associated with boys but Kareena will show her talent to beat the boys behind by developing six packs abs which is one of its kind in the history of Indian cinema. Kareena Kapoor will go to the extreme end to get a masculine look for ‘Shuddhi’.
It is highly expected that ‘Shuddhi’ will twist Kareena’s career and place her in a separate zone. Kareena’s next release is ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’ with Imran Khan which is slated for November release and soon after the promotion, she will get into martial arts training in December.
'Shuddhi' will bring Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor together after 10 long years. The film will also see some intimate moments between the two. Karan Johar will produce the film and the film is slated for 2014 Diwali release.
Hope, Kareena's body makeover will take the silver screen with storm.

On Her Birthday(September 21) Subhash K Jha Selects Kareena Kapoor's Top 10 Films

Refugee(2000): No film that followed ever captured Kareena's radiant beauty and ethereal persona as ably as this. Director J P Dutta had made a promise to his friend Randhir Kapoor that he would give the latter's daughter the kind of launch which audiences would remember for all times.JP kept his promise. From her first glimpse on screen when Abhishek Bachchan sees her splashing water on her face it was love at first sight between Kareena and the camera. Playing a girl scuttling across the border to Pakistan with her family Kareena reminded us of the screen legends of yore like Nutan, Madhubala and Nargis. Her love affair with the camera has continued for 14 years.

Asoka(2001): Following Refugee Kareena was electric on screen as the warrior princess Kaurwaki in this Santosh Sivan-directed pseudo-historical. Kareena exuded fire and passion in every scene with or without Shah Rukh Khan. Her introductory song San sana san epitomized her mercurial personality. I remember Kareena's mom Babita telling me after the film's first trial, 'Bebo(Kareena) should just retire after this. She can't better this.' Luckily Kareena could. And did.

Chameli(2004)-The streetwalker dancing in the rain wearing Manish Malhotra's kaleidoscopic concept of what a hustler wears, Kareena played the character with not a trace of selfpity and a jar-full of joie de vivre. Director Sudhir Mishra was so impressed that he awaits to this day to work with his 'Chameli' again.

Yuva(2004)-In Mani Rathnam's layered chocolate-box of a film Kareena played the child of caprice. Whimsical, passionate, uncertain about her future and altogether a portrait of the gen-x's genuine self-doubts and passionate protests. No film has captured that gamine-like unpredictable quality of hers so well. Jaya Bachchan loves Kareena in Yuva.So did we.

Dev(2004)-In Govind Nihalani's film Kareena played a role directly inspired by Zaheera Sheikh who testified against the death of 14 people in a bakery during the 2002 Gujarat riots. Kareena lived the role of a girl forced to make some very hard decisions about life and death. No makeup, no artifice. No bullshit. Just Kareena and the camera and the truth.

Fida(2004)-Kareena's first and so far only negative role. In this Ken Ghosh thriller she gets together with Fardeen Khan to make a sucker out of Shahid Kapoor. It's hard to imagine Kareena in a negative role. But she pulled she it off effortlessly.

Omkara(2006)-Playing the victim doesn't come easily to Kareena. Here playing the desi Desdemona from Shakespeare's Othello she brought a heartbreaking vulnerability to the part of the wife of a very jealous husband. The best thing about Kareena's performance was that she seemed to do so little and yet convey so much.Director Vishal Bharadwaj used Kareena's presence like no other filmmaker.

Jab We Met(2007)-Kareena's passport to immortality. The one film that she can show her children to prove that Mummy was terrific actor when she set her mind and heart to it. If in Omkara she expressed angst through silences in Jab We Met she was all over the place. Voluble, vivacious and vibrant , she filled the suicidal hero Shahid Kapoor's life with something vital. We all need that element in our lives.

Heroine(2012)-Though Madhur Bhandarkar's film sank at the boxoffice Kareena's brave bravura turn as a superstar on the slide was arresting for its emphatic emotive energy. You couldn't miss her arrogant self-worth even if you were not familiar with Kareena's career and personality.Heroine's protagonist Mahi Arora's descent into a drug-induced hell made us happy that in Kareena's life, all was well.

Talaash(2012)-Kareena played a ghost with a tragic past. The performance was contoured by a sense of tragic loss that reminded me of Meryl Streep in Sophie's Choice. When Kareena is at her best she is untouchable.

Happy Birthday Begum Kareena!

Could we hope for a Happy Ending to this story at least? So far Saif and Kareena together on screen before or after marriage have spelt no magic at the boxoffice. They are coming together again now in Raj Nidimoru & Krishna DK's Happy Ending, though Kareena will feature only in a cameo.

Confirming this co-director Raj Nidimoru says Kareena won't appear for a song only. `Saif and Kareena have scenes together. And we're planning to shoot a song as well. `

While Raj is unwilling to reveal any more details we understand from sources that Kareena's role has been written into Happy Ending as an afterthought.

Says the source, `Saif who is the film's producer wanted Kareena to be part of the film when she visited Saif on location in Detroit. As luck would have it the co-director Raj and Krishna knew exactly where to fit Kareena into the plot. `

Interestingly Preity Zinta too has a cameo in Happy Ending while Ileana d'Cruz plays the female lead.

Raj says both Kareena and Preity's cameos are, `for the better. They both add something vital to the plot. `

While Saif and Preity have been a hit together in Salaam Namaste all of Saif's films with Kareena including J . P Dutta's LoC Kargil , Rensil D'Silva's Kurbaan and Sriram Raghavan's Agent Vinod were flops.

Evidently audiences don't enjoy watching real-life couples on screen. A majority of John Abraham's films with Bipasha Basu and Akshay Kumar's films with Twinkle Khanna were flops.

It's Confirmed: Get ready for Saif-Kareena's 'Happy Ending'
