Popular TV actress Drasti Dhami walked away with the trophy of dance reality show, ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 6’ beating her contenders, singer Shaan, dancer Lauren Gottlieb and India’s Got Talent winners Sonali and Sumant. She with her choreographer partner, Salman consistently performed well and have received accolades from the hosts of the show, choreographer Remo, actress Madhuri Dixit and filmmaker Karan Johar.
Drasthi Dhami of 'Madhubala' fame was a strong and consistent contender of the show. Along with 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6' trophy, she won 50 lakhs prize money. She performed 'Rangeela Re' at the finale of 'Jhalak' and won the hearts of the three judges along with the celebrity guests, Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra who came to promote their upcoming film, ‘Krrish 3’. The two stars also applauded Drasti’s performance.
"I want to thank everyone. My mom, who is not here right now as she is out of town... I love you mommy! I want to thank my friends, Salman's friends, everyone..." she said after winning the show.
Drasthi and Salman were presented the trophy and Rs 50 lakh prize money by Karan Johar and Remo D'souza.The second runner up for the season was Lauren Gotilleb, Shonali and Sumanth achieved the third and forth position while singer Shaan stood fourth.
'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6' came to a grand end after 15 weeks. Madhuri Dixit Nene had to rush home after her performance as her father Shankar Dixit passed away.
Hrithik Roshan shake legs with Madhuri on the songs, ‘Bumro, Bumro and ‘Akhiya Milaoo’. Hrithik too grooved on the song, ‘Raghupati Raghava’ and entertained the audience. Karan too shook a leg with Remo and Lauren.
Despite vigorous rehearsals, Drasti continued her stint in the TV soap.
