Unending woes for Sunny Leone's 'Ragini MMS 2'

Insiders say owing to a lot of delays in wrapping up the project, Ekta Kapoor's film starring Sunny Leone is several months away from release

Looks like the buzz about the sequel of Ragini MMS's bleak future is far from over. After rumours about Ekta Kapoor's apparent dissatisfaction with certain portions in the film and the movie going over-budget, our sources say that the project that is more or less complete has once again faced a roadblock.

Contrary to initial word that the film was to release on October 25, it will now probably hit the marquee in January 2014.

Sources close to the film say that Ekta wants to shoot a song with the lead heroine Sunny Leone but apparently the actress has no extra dates to spare, as she is shooting for two back-to-back films.

An insider says, `Owing to new faces in the cast, the film ought to be shot and later promoted well. They have already shot for more days than what was previously allotted.`

The grapevine is also buzzing with rumours that after her last film Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara failed to work at the box office, Ekta apparently wants to leave no stone unturned to make Ragini MMS 2 look better.

Also owing to the fact that the film's lead actor Sahil Prem is a close family friend, insiders say Ekta wants to do her best for it to fare well.

Another source says, `The film is still far away from its release date. With all the delays happening, it doesn't come as a surprise.`

Tanuj Garg, CEO of the production house states, `Not true at all. We only have some talkie portions and two songs left to shoot. The pre-Diwali period is not a good time to release a film, hence the decision to postpone it.`
